It's no secret Sunabe Seawall is the most popular surf spot in Okinawa and for good reason. It's long and theres plenty of room for a lot of surfers on its various breaks. It has great easy access, good consistent waves and very close to the shore which makes it great for the on lookers and photographers. On a good day you will find a few hundred surfers out there having fun. What amazes me most is the talent of some of the young kids out there ripping it up like Eri above.
Here are a series of shots from just one busy sunday early morning.
One busy section
A huge panorama made from about 8 images stitched in Photoshop.
Nice dismount
A young grom ripping it up
A nice little tube
Another young girl tearing it up
The kids can rip!
All smiles
Beautiful little curl
Go for launch
Nice little left hander
All shot with the Canon 1DmkIV and 300mm f2.8L lens apart from the panorama rainbow shot which I made with a series of photos stitched together in Photoshop with the 40mm f2.8 STM pancake lens.
